Product- and chemical tankers in the shipping - shipbuilding industry use our butterfly valves in their cargo system in order to distribute cargo between the various cargo tanks. To check that there is no leakage there are  ball valves mounted in a spool-pice between the butterfly valves.

How the shipping - shipbuilding industry benefits from our valves

The butterfly valves are situated in each tanks riser and drop line. The cargo is distributed to the cargo tanks via the cross-over from the manifold. The valves are also well suited for use on bitumen tankers.

SOMAS valves are further utilized in the stripping and super stripping system, as well as for cleaning of the cargo tanks.
