SOMAS valves are primarily used in on/off applications in the the nuclear-heating-water industry, either remotely actuated or manually operated. The SOMAS valve type most often used for control applications is the ball segment valve. For on/off applications ball valves and butterfly valves are the main choice.

Do you have special control objectives that must be met? . SOMAS valves are normally made from stainless materials, but if you as a customer so desire we can also supply valves made from titanium or high-nickel alloys.

Meeting the control objectives comes natural for us. SOMAS actuators are made of surface treated aluminium and stainless steel. The safety requirements are easily met since our actuators exert their maximun torque in the fully open and closed position.
