ATEX - certification for electrical and mechanical equipment

The ATEX product directive 94/9/EC covers electrical and mechanical equipment intended for use in explosive atmospheres. Equipment covered by and in compliance with the directive has to be ATEX-marked and be accompanied by a "declaration of conformity".

SOMAS can deliver all control- and on/off valves ATEX-approved. The valves can be used up to and including zone 0 for explosive gas atmospheres, and up to and including zone 20 for explosive dust atmospheres.

The requirement for ATEX has to be specified in the inquiry.
